base of best quality white portland
cement and is supplied in powder form,

volume. Unlike other Cement Paints,
mixing is much easier. SUNCEM

per directions, render beautiful matt
finish.

by brush or spray to concrete, asbestos
cement sheets, cement sand renderings,
most wall and fibre boards and roughcast.
It is NOT recommended for external application
to common bricks unless these bricks

protection against moisture penetration.

SUNCEM
GOLD
when applied according to instructions
Surface preparation:
No special preparation is necessary for
new plasters except the removal of dust by washing
surface with clean water.
For all previously painted painted surfaces, oil
paints should be completely removed and the surface
should be made free from dust and loose particles.
This can be best done by wire brushing the surface
and finally washing it with water. Where algae
or fungal growths are present, they should be
killed with a suitable fungicide such as a solution
of calcium hypochlorite or stable bleaching powder.
If the surface is previously painted with a cement
paint which is in good condition, the removal
of the paint is not necessary. The surface should
be cleaned with wire brush and washed with clean
water.
Mixing
Instruction:
Loosen the contents of the bag by rolling. To
one volume of clean water in a clean container
add two volumes of SUNCEM
GOLD. Stir well with wooden
rod to a thick homogenous paste. Add further
one volume of water to this paste and stir well.
The paint is ready for application. Please keep
the inner polythene bag properly tied up. Do
not expose to atmosphere and the SUNCEM
GOLD may get airset and lose
its binding properties. Keep stirred during
use. Do not prepare more paint at a time but
mix sufficient quality which could be used within
an hour.
Application:
Wet properly the surface to be painted. SUNCEM
GOLD should not be applied while
water is draining from the surface. Allow a
little times for the water to get absorbed into
the surface. Apply SUNCEM
GOLD with a good quality brush.
The first coat should be well brushed on the
surface. Subsequent coat should not be applied
until the earlier coat has hardened. Minimums
of two coats are necessary.
Curing:
Each SUNCEM GOLD application
should be wetted properly at the end of the
day with a water spray. Depending upon the climatic
conditions wetting should be done four to six
hours after the application of SUNCEM
GOLD coat and the wetting is repeated
to achieve better results. An interval of 24
hours (minimum) should be allowed before application
of second coat. It is essential to wet the surface
before applying the subsequent coat.

and porosity of the surface.
